The Team

Two Wright specialist architects supervised the restoration of the Meyer House.

Lawrence R. Brink was a Taliesin apprentice to Mr. Wright and worked alongside the homeowner for the first years of the long-term project. After Mr. Brink's death, the homeowner engaged the services of John Eifler. Mr. Eifler and his Chicago-based firm have been closely involved with the Frank Lloyd Wright Conservancy and have overseen the work on many important Wright structures.

Local artist Lee Doezema was the general contractor for the project. Mr. Doezema is a trusted woodworker and furniture builder who has worked on many Frank Lloyd Wright houses in Michigan.

The homeowner, Doug LaBrecque is an acclaimed vocal artist who has performed on Broadway and countless other venues around the globe. His passion for Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural genius was the driving force behind the amazing restoration of the Curtis and Lilian Meyer House.
